This was our first concert since the COVID-19 pandemic. We had seen Lindsey Buckingham as part of Fleetwood Mac, but had always wanted to see him solo. When this tour was announced in June, it seemed perfect: great venue, and we were fully vaccinated and ready to get back out there. So we bought tickets. By the time September came around, the Delta variant was a thing, and we were a bit reticent to attend an indoor concert. But we felt better when the theater announced that masks were required. So we decided to go. And we are glad that we did! We were pleasantly surprised that the audience took the mask requirement seriously. The show wasn't sold out, so folks in the balcony even spread out a bit.
It was a great show: a mixture of old and new solo songs, as well as Fleetwood Mac classics. Most songs were done with his band, but he did a couple just him and a guitar. His voice sounded phenomenal, and the energy of the show just blew us away.
The whole audience seemed like they, like us, were tired of being cooped up. They gave Lindsey and the band lots of love, and he returned it a hundred fold.
Boy, have we missed live music. Thank you, Lindsey, for a fantastic evening!
