The first time we saw Johnny A was as a special guest at Davy Knowles' show at 9 Wallis in 2019. We heard that Davy would be a special guest at Johnny A's Guitar Summit at the Cabot, so we immediately bought tickets. Unfortunately, Davy had to withdraw due to a family emergency. But the lineup was rounded out with Jon Butcher, Coco Montoya, and Gary Hoey. The house band featured
Dean Cassell on bass and Marty Richards on drums. Each guitarist did a short set and then they jammed together.
It was a fun night of blues and rock.
