Sunday, 5/15/2016 - DepartureWe woke up at 6 a.m. and finished our last minute packing. We had breakfast at 7:30: fried eggs, coffee, juice, bread, and papas fritas.The whole family accompanied us on the ride to the airport, which is very sweet of them. We left the house at 8:30. Yupanqui got carsick on the ride, but otherwise the kids did very well. We made it to the airport in an hour and 45 minutes, even including a stop to clean Yupanqui up. We said goodbye to the family at the curb, went into the airport, and checked in for our flight. We had plenty of time to kill, so we got food at Johnny Rockets and the pizza place. We did some shopping, buying some of our favorite chocolate bars at Republica del Cacao. I also bought a blown glass hummingbird for my mom at Tikuna, a handicraft shop. Our flight was at 2:19 p.m., and they served us beef stew and flan. We had a layover in Miami, and our flight to Boston departed at 9:15 p.m. We landed in Boston at around 12:30 a.m. on Craig's 50th birthday. We took the Logan Express bus home from the airport. |
