Sapo -7/26/03 & 7/27/03

OK, so this isn't a vacation - it's our own backyard. But it evoked very pleasant memories of our trip to Peru last year.

After having so much fun playing sapo with Carlos and Vidal in Arequipa and Cusco respectively, we were hooked. Craig bought me a sapo game (imported from Peru) for Christmas from Chris at SapoMiami.com. Craig saw Chris' website at the last minute (a couple days before Christmas) and Chris was incredibly accommodating. He was very friendly and took care of the order immediately. It was shipped next day delivery and arrived on Christmas Eve. Thanks, Chris!

We broke it out for the first time this weekend and had a great time. We listened to Peruvian music, and I drank the 15-month old bottle of Inca Kola we'd been saving for a special occasion. Still yummy as ever! Craig had a beer that he brought home from New Zealand. We were able to teach the game to Craig's brother Steve and our nephews, Mike and Eric.
