Saturday, January 26, 2019 - Family TimeToday was Saturday, so we had some good quality time to catch up with the family. Sisa was still flying high from the Galapagos trip, and the family never tired of hearing her stories and seeing the photos. We all missed Mukul, though. He was still en route home to India. For breakfast this morning, we had juice, coffee, bread, ham, French fries, and a hot dog. For some reason, Craig and I had sung "Bohemian Rhapsody" to Sisa a lot during our time together in the Galapagos. She latched on to it right away, especially the falsetto and head banging parts. I never had a good enough internet connection to play the official song for her while we were in the Galapagos. So this morning we played it for the kids, and Sisa sang along with her favorite part: "For meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" Yupanqui and Shina got in on the act as well. After showing them the official music video, we showed them a Youtube clip of the famous "Wayne's World" scene as well. Little Queen fans in the making The kids bathed and got dressed for the day. Antonio braided Yupanqui's hair into the traditional style. For lunch, we had rice with lentils, llapingachos, guacamole, and fruit juice. The kids enjoyed playing with the stuffed blue footed booby toy that Sisa had brought home. And the pun was not lost on them either. They dressed it up in Antonio's traditional hat. Then Shina put a cap on her head and a matching one on the booby. Then Yupanqui put Sisa's Galapagos sun hat on it. Today was a very low-key day. We were all happy to be together once again, and it was nice to relax after a busy week sightseeing in the Galapagos. For dinner, we had soup and vegetable fried rice with hot dog pieces. |
