Tuesday, March 1, 2022 - Working Remotely

We woke up this morning to another rainy, dreary day. We were hopeful that internet service would be restored this morning, but by 9 a.m., it still hadn't happened yet.

We wandered into the kitchen where Aida was faithfully preparing breakfast. We enjoyed crepes, coffee, bread, bologna, and juice.

I decided to do some laundry by hand in the outdoor sink. The weather wasn't exactly conducive to drying, but I had time on my hands, as internet service still hadn't returned, and I couldn't work.

In the meanwhile, Aida gave Adeliz Dashel a bath and dressed her in an adorable white dress with red roses. She matched the Pawkar Raymi rose petals from yesterday's ritual! She is warming up to us a bit, and let me push her around in her little car.

Internet service was restored at 11 a.m. it turned out that a tree had fallen on the cable during the recent rainstorms. It was so nice to have internet restored after a two and a half day outage! I promptly logged into work.

Yupanqui and Shina arrived home from school, followed by Sisa. They made the puzzle with Achi Taita.

For lunch we had soup and fried rice. I ate upstairs in my office while I worked.

Antonio and the three eldest kids left for a football game in neighboring community at 4 o'clock. They invited us to go with them, saying that they would be back within an hour or two, but I really needed to continue working. Also, it was cold and wet, and we weren't keen on the idea of going to another community during the pandemic. So we stayed home, along with Aida and Adeliz Dashel. The others got back at 7 o'clock, cold and wet after a couple of hours watching a football game and the ride home on Antonio's moto. We were glad that we had made the decision to stay home, given the circumstances.

We made the jigsaw puzzle with the kids while Aida cooked dinner.

Dinner was soup, cauliflower, sausages, lentils, rice, and juice.

At 9:30, we said our goodnights. Sisa is teaching Adeliz Dashel to hug us goodnight. Dashel says "Chao" and waves her hand; it's so cute.
