Friday, June 27, 2025 - Working RemotelyI got up at 6:30 a.m. to work. We had coffee and pancakes with fruit for breakfast. Vanesa came over with baby EmilianoToday is a "Summer Friday", when I get out of work early. So when I was done with work at 11 a.m. local time, I took a walk to the ATM at the Nakbe Hotel. When I walked back to the house I saw Victor getting ready to open his retaurant for the day, and I stopped to chat with him. I played Toy Story Concentration with Ian. A couple of times I caught him perpetrating minor cheating moves, so we had to keep an eye on him. The kids have a history of "marking" cards with certain folds/creases. The concentration game is difficult for Craig's and my old eyes; the cards are very small and the differences between them are very subtle. Afterwards, Ian and I played Uno. We had delicious pupusas for lunch. The tortillas were homemade and stuffed with black bean paste and cheese. They were topped with cole slaw and salsa. They really hit the spot. I fed baby Emiliano his bottle. Craig and I had tea and cookies. This is something that was a daily occurrence at teatime during our first few visits with the family, but has fallen by the wayside in recent years. Then Aracely came over with baby Elsa. We played Uno with Aracely. We always enjoy playing games with whomever is around. Danny came over for dinner and we all enjoyed chicken soup. |
