Monday July 1, 2024 - Hanging Out with the FamilyI woke up early and went outside at 7 o'clock. As I was once again the first person to be active outside, I caught a glimpse of the feral cat and her kittens. They were inside the storage room and came out as I came outside. They then fled along the side of the house. After a busy weekend, Craig slept late today, until shortly before 10 o'clock. We ate breakfast with Paulina outside: pancakes with fruit (Craig's favorite local fruit: pitaya!) and coffee. I continued to work today. We spoke to Aracely via Messenger and she said that she and Joel would be stopping by the house later in the evening. Lunch was pesto pasta, chicken, and broccoli. We had an afternoon thunderstorm. The lights flickered and there was a temporary internet outage. When I was done with work for the day, we played Uno with Ian and his cousin Angel Daniel. We had some leftover wedding cake as a snack. Vanesa and Danny were at the house this afternoon, too. Aracely and Joel came over to collect some more of her things. She would be returning to school tomorrow, so she needed her uniform and supplies. We found it amusing that she'd be going back to classes after having been married over the weekend. We joked that her friends would be asking, "Did you do anything fun over the weekend?" and she would answer "Oh, I got married..." Of course, her school friends and a teacher were in attendance at the wedding, so they all knew anyway. We had dinner (dobladas and soup), and said goodbye to Aracely and Joel as they went back to their place. We went to our room at 9:30. |
